Group of pilgrims
Specialised accommodation for pilgrimage groups in Lourdes
If you are an organised group accompanying elderly, sick or disabled people to Lourdes to follow in Bernadette’s footsteps, the Accueil Marie Saint-Frai can accommodate you during the pilgrimage season, which runs from early April to late October. We offer accommodation and catering suitable for all guests, but specifically tailored to those who are ill or disabled.
All our facilities comply with disability access standards (toilets, medical beds, lifts, oxygen supply at the head of beds, etc.). Furthermore, each room is connected via a call system to a treatment room on the same floor.
As for meals, our meals are tailored to the dietary requirements of the people you are accompanying.
As our centre is a welcoming place, if you wish to stay with us, we will do our utmost to ensure that your pilgrimage to Lourdes is organised and enjoyed in the best possible conditions.
Comfort, accessibility and catering for all
When organising your stay, it is your responsibility to arrange for all the nursing, support and care staff required for the people you are accompanying, as our facility does not have its own medical team. There are healthcare professionals in Lourdes whom you can contact for any one-off or specific care (dialysis centre, GPs, private nurses, private physiotherapists, etc.) There are also comprehensive public hospital facilities to deal with emergencies and to continue care that cannot be interrupted. The network of pharmacies and suppliers able to provide specialist equipment (portable oxygen, specialised mattresses, etc.) is very good.
